PET SCAN
18FDG PET ONCOLOGY-INFLAMMATION
This examination is prescribed to clarify an image seen on another imaging examination, for diagnosis or to monitor the progression of tumours or to investigate certain other inflammatory or infectious diseases (except heart disease).
18FDG PET Inflammation of the heart or Endocarditis
This examination is prescribed when an infection of the heart, a prosthetic valve, or a pacemaker probe is suspected, or in certain inflammatory heart diseases.
18F-CHOLINE PET
This examination is prescribed in certain prostate, liver or brain diseases.
68 Ga-PSMA PET SCAN
New-generation, molecular imaging test, prescribed in case of significant PSA reascension after surgery or radiotherapy, to locate the site of tumour recurrence, if Choline PET could not provide the information.
68Ga-DOTA-TOC PET SCAN
A new-generation examination, prescribed for well-differentiated endocrine tumours. Replaces the Octreoscan.
18F-DOPA PET
This examination is prescribed to assess certain endocrine tumours and to investigate certain neurological syndromes.
18-NAF PET SCAN
Examination prescribed for the assessment of the extension of certain tumours, in certain rheumatological disorders and for the evaluation of atheroma plaques on arterial walls.
In some cases, 18F-NaF PET replaces bone scanning.
BRAIN 18-FDG PET
Investigation of cognitive impairment, certain speech disorders and certain motor impairments.
18F-DOPA BRAIN PET SCAN
Examination prescribed to explore certain motor disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, and certain memory disorders.
18F-CHOLINE PET SCAN of the parathyroid
Examination prescribed for the assessment of a parathormone elevation, in order to locate the hyperfunctional parathyroid gland(s)
